Nour Educational Program

Nour Educational Program

Established in 2013, the Nour Project was initiated to address the educational gaps for recently arrived refugee children and families in Burj El Barajneh. A 2017-18 survey revealed that a significant percentage, ranging from 50-60%, of Syrian children in Lebanon were not enrolled in schools. These families, often carrying tales of war and displacement, urgently require safe and supportive spaces within their host communities, and the Nour Project was conceived with this imperative in mind.

Nour Project plays a pivotal role in the development and well-being of our community, focusing on children and youth who face barriers to conventional schooling. On an individual level, students within the Nour Project have the opportunity to cultivate personal competencies and interpersonal skills from an early age, laying the foundation for their holistic growth.
